Wamsley achieves milestone as TV girls roll | News, Sports, Jobs

CLARKSBURG — Tygarts Valley handed Steve Wamsley a win in his 500th career game as head coach Friday afternoon in a 58-33 win over Notre Dame.

Wamsley has mentored Lady Bulldog for the past two seasons. He also served as the boys’ head coach at Elkins High School and Tygarts Valley during his career.

Isabella Shumate had 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Kendal Cutright had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Abby Cabaniss eight points and nine rebounds, and rookie Summer Lewis-Smith eight points and seven caroms.

Zyla Lanham had 16 points and Bella Ramsey 12 for the Lady Irish.

Television is heading to Pendleton County on Monday.
