MONTABELLA 55, MPSH 36: The Mustangs defeated Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart on the road on Friday, earning the season sweep of the Irish. The Mustangs started strong with a 20-5 first quarter lead and held a lead throughout the night. Drew Kelsey and JT Smith each scored 18 points for the Mustangs. IONIA GIRLS WIN, BOYS LOSE BY BIG LEDGE: GIRLS: The Bulldogs women’s team defeated Grand Ledge on the road Friday, 25-5. Zoey Guernsey has played two top games, scoring 162 points twice in a row. Chloe Witter added high games of 161 and 139. DISK: 8-3. BOYS: The Bulldogs men’s team was beaten by Grand Ledge on the road Friday 17-13. Evan Vos had a game-best 221 for the Bulldogs while Brett Petersen added game-highs of 196 and 192. DISK: 3-8. FOLLOWING: at Comstock Park Regionals on Friday.
