Sports Kit Supplier Secures Funding for ROI Growth | News on offers in Ireland

A sports equipment supplier has secured a £100,000 loan through Whiterock Finance’s Growth Loan Fund II to expand its business across Ireland.

Club Sport NI Ltd supplies sports kits and off-road products from global brands.

The company, which currently employs six people, is based in Belfast and recently opened an office in Wicklow to ensure return on investment.

It currently supplies kits and equipment to its customer base in Northern Ireland, which includes Irish Premier League clubs Larne FC, Glentoran FC and Glenavon FC as well as youth clubs.

General manager Chris Morgan was an Irish League footballer, having played for the Crusaders, Linfield and Glentoran.

He said: “My time as an Irish League footballer has been incredibly helpful in growing the business through long established relationships in the game.

“Being selected as Nike’s exclusive distributor on the island of Ireland highlights the progress the company has made over the last few years. Our ability to deliver efficient, high quality customization of kits with timely delivery courts has given us the upper hand on numerous occasions and has clearly been recognized by Nike.

Whiterock’s support has been instrumental in our expansion and we expect the relationship with the team to continue as the business grows.”

Neil McCabe, Director of Whiterock, added: “Chris and his team have made tremendous progress in a competitive industry and have been able to spot growth opportunities where others have not.

“The new agreement with Nike reflects the company’s existing strength and the growth potential of both NI and ROI.”
