Smallville and Lucifer star lands next starring movie role


Smallville Star Tom Welling has landed his next movie role.

As reported by Deadlinethe Clark Kent actor, who also appeared in Lucifer more recently, will direct an action thriller titled six deepfrom Death in Texas writer and director Scott Windhauser.

Welling will play a prisoner named Terry who is released early in order to go on an undercover mission in Italy. Unfortunately, things go horribly wrong and all of his teammates are killed on the first day.

He must then team up with a psychopathic killer in order to fulfill his mission, while keeping his cover secret.

dusk, Easy and CO star Cam Gigandet will perform opposite him, while The Irishmanit’s Al Linea, Death in Texas‘Dear Cosenza and best fake friends‘ Sidhartha Mallya was also chosen.

“I was really lucky to be able to work with such a great actor like Tom. I think he’s really going to open a lot of eyes with his role,” Windhauser said in a statement. “He’s going to take on Cam in a cat-and-mouse game that audiences will love. I can’t wait to show this project to the world.”

The shooting of the film begins in April in Rome, which looks really beautiful.
