Red Is Eiichiro Oda’s Most Involved Film, Says Producer

Although he is busy with preparations for the series finale arc, One Piece Movie: Red is the film in which creator Eiichiro Oda is most involvedaccording to an interview with the film’s producer.

In a recent interview with Film: Red producer Shinji Shimizu, he revealed even more interesting information about the upcoming A play browse.

While her previous interview gave insight into Shanks’ appearance in the film, this new encounter has Shimizu detailing how Oda became heavily involved in the film’s production.

Specifically, Shimizu was asked about what it was like to work with Oda considering Film: Red is the film in which Oda has been most involved since One Piece: A Strong World.

Shimizu clarified that Oda is even more involved in Film: Red that in strong world. This is interesting given that Oda himself wrote strong world. And even though Oda is not the author of Film: Redhis contribution to the film is even greater.

Specifically, Shimizu mentioned that Oda is a huge fan of music, and the fact that the film had a strong focus on music triggered a switch in him and he “wanted to get involved a lot”.

Even though Oda is busy getting ready for One Piece final arc, he always “poured his heart into this [film]“, according to Shimizu.

Although he may not have written the story, he is listed as the film’s script critic. This makes sense considering the film introduces Shanks – one of the key characters in the entire series.

The fact that Film: Red released as part of the franchise’s 25th anniversary is also a likely reason why Oda is as heavily involved as he is.

One Piece Movie: Red is the fifteenth feature film in the series, and it was released in Japan on August 8, 2022.

The film follows Luffy and the Straw Hat team as they attend Uta’s concert, the world’s most popular singer and daughter of Shanks.

The film is expected to be released in select countries over the coming weeks and months. A fall 2022 release is planned in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, and more.
