Olivia Colman stars in the first trailer for a new road trip Stroll.

The first look, brought to you exclusively by digital spysees Joy, the Oscar-winning actress’ character, get caught up in an unexpected carjacking by 12-year-old Mully.

Joy is on her way to an important meeting when her taxi is hijacked by Mully, who finds her in the backseat with her baby. Mully runs away from her father, who wants the money he took with him.

However, despite the circumstances, the pair form an unexpected bond, as the trailer depicts their growing friendship.

Stroll was directed by Emer Reynolds, whose previous credits include documentaries such as Songs for While I’m Away.

You can also take a look at the movie poster above, featuring Colman alongside co-star Charlie Reid. The film also stars Lochlann Ó Mearáin.

Colman has been very busy lately, appearing in the likes of Landscapers and Heart strokeand will soon be seen in Marvel’s Secret Invasion series.

Last year, the actress opened up about where she kept her Oscar, which she won in 2019 for The favourite.

Recalling the night, she admitted: “I could almost cry, actually. The thought that when they said my name. I couldn’t…I just sat there for a while. It didn’t happen. really recorded, it all calmed down and yeah, amazing. And it wasn’t until a year later that he recorded himself.”

Colman added: “And now the little golden man is sitting in a closet because I feel a little embarrassed that it happened. But when nobody’s looking I kind of go [mimics sliding the cupboard open and gasps excitedly] and close it.”

Stroll hits cinemas in the UK and Ireland on Friday July 29.
