Kevin Hart spotted filming new Netflix movie in Derry


American actor and comedian Kevin Hart and crew of heist comedy Lift are currently filming scenes at Shackleton Airfield, Ballykelly.

Netflix and HartBeat Productions have descended on the village for the past 48 hours.

The Netflix feature is directed by F. Gary Gray of Straight Outta Compton, from a script by Dan Kunka.

Hart plays a master thief who is courted by his ex-girlfriend and the FBI to pull off an impossible heist with his international crew on a 777 flying from London to Zurich.

The feature is part of a creative partnership deal that Hart, 42, signed with the streaming giant just over a year ago, for his production company to produce four films exclusively for Netflix.

The multi-millionaire comedian is also listed as the film’s producer.

Another project done under the deal is Me Time with Mark Wahlberg, Hart and Regina Hall, who is now in the role.

Meanwhile, Hart was recently spotted on the streets of Belfast filming his new movie.
