Féile Róise Rua, in partnership with Other Voices, returns this Thursday 19th May with an unmissable live stream from the island of Árainn Mhór off Co Donegal.
Féile Róise Rua was established in 2018 as a voluntary community festival to revive the tradition of local music and song on the island, in particular the music of local singer and song collector Róise Rua.
Thursday’s live event, hosted by Brían MacGloinn of Ye Vagabonds and pioneering Celtic musician Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, will feature songs and stories from some of Ireland’s top artists including Helen Diamond, Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill, Jimmy Canavan, Saileog Ní Cheannabháin, Seosamh O Neachtain and Suite.
Taking place at Early’s Bar, a historic musical pub on the island of Árainn Mhór, viewers will feel like they are in an intimate musical session with these guests as they sing, play and interact with the audience.
