GFA takes part in social inclusion training for sports professionals in Portugal – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results


Ghana Football Association (GFA) General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.) is in Portugal participate in Phase II of the Social Inclusion Education and Training Exchange Program for Sports Professionals, Coaches and Volunteers (SEITE SPORTS).

The European Union is co-funding the seminar, which is being held in conjunction with the football associations of Ireland, Portugal and Finland.

The Portuguese Football Association will host this phase of the project from Monday April 11 to Friday April 15, 2021.

The aim of the project is to develop skills for inclusive football.

Having taken over from previous hosts Ireland, the Football Association of Portugal is hosting this phase of the project to share its knowledge, expertise and practical examples with other football associations.

Workshops, seminars, football club visits, football programs and trainings (online platform, awareness of inclusion/fair play) are part of the program format.

The project will also attempt to bridge the gap between theory and practice by improving skills, knowledge sharing and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.

The final exchange seminar, to be held in Ghana, will provide more opportunities for better face-to-face networking between the four (4) football associations involved in the project, as well as to engage wider local stakeholders in Ghana in the discussion on sport and social inclusion (football and social responsibility).
