Brett Goldstein and Catherine Tate’s ‘The Nan Movie’ gets an official trailer!


Nan movie starring Catherine Tate released their first official trailer!

Based on the popular character Nan, a rude grandmother from Tate’s award-winning BBC series The Catherine Tate Showthe film will be released on July 22 in theaters and on demand.

Catherine Tate’s beloved character, Joannie Taylor aka Nan, appears on the big screen as she embarks on a wild road trip from London to Ireland with her long-suffering grandson Jamie to make amends with his estranged and dying sister Nell. Through a series of flashbacks, we see the younger sisters fall in love with the same handsome GI during World War II and how the aftermath of that love triangle turned Nan into the cantankerous old slut she is today. Militant vegan arsonists, Aussie rugby teams, late-night raves and crazed motorbike cops all make for a great day. Hilarious, action-packed and surprisingly moving, this film is a love letter to outrageous and outspoken old ladies everywhere.

Nan movie stars Catherine Tate, Mathew Horne, Katherine Parkinson, Parker Sawyers, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Jack Doolan and Niky Wardley. and Ted LassoBrett Goldstein wrote the screenplay produced by Damian Jones.

It was nominated at the 2022 National Film Awards for Best Comedy, Best Supporting Actor (Matthew Horne) and Best Screenplay (Catharine Tate, Brett Goldstein)!
